Tusdec instigates training in KPK

LAHORE - Under a TVET sector reform programme, sponsored by the Delegation of European Union to Pakistan, TUSDEC has initiated Training of Trainers in Peshawar as a first phase of the 3-year project.
TUSDEC has partnered with ACTED (Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development) and PMN (Pakistan Micro finance Network) for the implementation of the programme aimed  at improving the access, quality and service delivery of the TVET sector for rural, marginalized communities through innovative curricula and training methods.  TUSDEC will be extending the services of curricula development, training of the trainers, programme monitoring and evaluation.  Sixteen days training session has been instigated in Peshawar in which 12 teachers will be trained as master trainers. TUSDEC has engaged proficient curricula development experts to formulate innovative, progressive yet immensely adaptive course of study.  The spokesperson further shared that initially four districts of Swat, Upper Dir, Lower Dir and Muzzafarbad have been chosen to implement the TOT , preparing 12 instructors to be stationed back to the their respective TVET institutes to train 2000 females in the areas of dress making and Hand/Machine Embroidery.
The company spokesperson said that after the first phase, TUSDEC would organize TOT sessions for the trades of Building Electrician, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning, Motorcycle repair, Industrial Electrician, Solar Panel and Generator Technicians to equip 75 trainers to impart trainings in various target districts of Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
