MIRPUR (APP) - In order to overcome the unemployment problem faced by youth, especially of educated class, on permanent grounds, the AJK government was about to ink a broad- based plan to create employment opportunities across the state, official sources said. The sources told APP here Sunday that various elaborated steps were proposed to be taken to create more jobs in public and private sector institutions through launching a broad-based micro credit scheme to extend soft term loans to the jobless educated youth so that they could set up their own businesses. Steps would also be taken to produce skilled workers in various technical disciplines through their participation in short and long-term technical training programs in the state-run Vocational Institutions, the sources added. In addition, over two thousand new jobs in public sector institutions, including autonomous bodies, would also be made available during current year under the plan, the sources said, adding, necessary funds would also be earmarked soon in this regard. They further said various ministries and public-sector corporations of the state would also ink short and long-term plans to launch various development projects in AJK which would also open new avenues of employment for the youth.
