Five projects of the solar energy having the capacity of twenty megawatts were initiated in Sindh. Radio Pakistan quoting official sources said that to meet energy needs the projects have started in Thatta, Benazirabad, Sukkur, Jamshoro and Larkana districts of the province. Official sources informed that a composite plan was being worked out to produce thousands of megawatts of the electricity from Thar coal by 2020 to meet national as well as provincial energy needs.–APP
