Dar-led panel interviews candidates for CEOs

ISLAMABAD - In order to ensure merit, competence and transparency, a four-member Committee headed by Federal Minister for Finance Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar interviewed short listed candidates for the posts of Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of House Building Finance Corporation (HBFC), National Investment Trust (NIT) and First Women Bank at the Finance Ministry, on Saturday.
On the occasion, the Finance Minister said that the Ggvernment will fulfill all its commitments with the nation by ensuring the selections of CEOs on merit, competence and transparency, which is the hallmark of the PML-N leadership. He emphasized that the State Owned Enterprises, which are currently not performing up to the required mark, will be restructured in a manner to make them efficient and productive. He hoped that the appointment of CEOs on merit will provide PSEs a leadership that can set their direction to performance and delivery. The Finance Minister added that the best among the short listed candidates will be recommended for final approval of the Prime Minister. Other members of the Committee are Dr. Waqar Masood, Finance Secretary and Additional Secretaries of Finance Ministry and the Establishment Division.
