KARACHI - The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has announced that it has approved the revision of pay and another benefits of clerical and non-clerical staff after having detailed discussion with the representatives of remaining CBAs in the right of NIRC, Peshawar Order dated 21-03-2009. In a circular issued on Wednesday, the NBP said this decision has been taken while mentioning the instruction circular no 15-2008 dated February 15, 2008 whereby pay, allowance and other benefits of clerical and non-clerical staff have been revised. According to the circular, the bank has announced special increase in basic pay of clerical and non-clerical employees with service of 15 years or more. Five per cent special raise with effective from 1-1-2009 on the basic pay of 31-12-2008 has been allowed to those clerical/non-clerical staffers who have not been awarded any increase for the last 3 years as on 31-12-2008 in their pay except annual increase as per pay package having 15 years or more continuous service in the National Bank. Circular said Motor Car Finance (MCF) has been revised from Rs 400,000 to Rs 50,000 to those clerical and non-clerical staff having basic pay of Rs 15,000 per month or more as under a) up to Rs 80,000 (motorcycle limit) free of mark-up b) above Rs80,000, 4 per cent mark-up will be required per annum while other terms and conditions will remain unchanged. Other terms and conditions of the instruction circular no. 32/99 dated 17-05-1999 will remain unchanged. devises new formula for THS calculation The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has devised a new formula for the calculation of Take Home Salary (THS). According to a circular, Take home salary will be arrived through the total of revised basic pay, house rent allowance, dearness allowance including medical and educational allowances. But presently, for the officers dearness, medical and educational allowances are not being taken into consideration for calculating the take home salaries. Meanwhile, Syed Ali Raza said that NBPs management trainee programme is dynamic to launch fast track career while addressing orientation session in a local hotel here on Wednesday. He said that trainees undergo rigorous training, and are forced to grasp professional education at centres in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi.
