SIDC to start production in October

SIALKOT : Sports Industries Development Centre (SIDC) will start trail production in October this year. The SIDC is a joint venture of Ministry of Industries, Small and Medium y (SMEDA) and (SCCI) and the mega project will cost Rs. 435.637 million. Official sources told APP here Sunday that installation of imported machinery in SIDC was in progress. The aim of setting up SIDC in the export-oriented city and hub of cottage industry of the country was to help the sports goods sector to adopt new technology of mechanized “thermo lamination balls”.
by providing common facilities, technical advisory services, molding machinery services and training, sources added.
Facilities like prototype balls for the industry, training of skilled workers for industries in mold, rubber technologies, mechanized thermo laminated balls, provision of manufacturing facilities for SMEs to secure their export orders for mechanized thermo laminated balls, help develop machinery locally through reverse engineering and providing assistance in setting up mechanized thermo laminated balls production in individual industrial units engaged with sports goods sector of Sialkot would be available in SIDC, they added.
