According to Uptime Institute, a division of the 451 Group, the market for data centre infrastructure management (DCIM) systems will grow from US$500 million in 2010 to US$7.5 billion by 2020. Forecasts indicate that challenges of higher-density computing, dynamic workloads and the need for efficient energy consumption will drive demand for software to help organisations plan, operate at low cost, and analyse systems for workflow improvement.
