FRA asks human rights activits to look into matter of workers suspension

LAHORE - Federal Revenue Alliance (FRA) Lahore President Naeem Abbas Shah has urged all the organizations working for human rights and workers’ rights and the civil society to look into the matter of suspension and dismissals of FRA members from their services by the high-ups of the FBR just to crush the movement launched by the FBR workers for their rights.
Presiding over a meeting of the FRA here Wednesday, Naeem Abbas Shah, who along with his many colleagues had been suspended from his services, urged the workers’ movements and civil society to raise voice for these people who had been stopped working just because they were raising voice for their rights and against wrong doings of the high-ups.
They accused the Regional Commissioner Inland Revenue RTO Lahore for behaving rudely with the Union office-bearers and members. The meeting said attitude of the Chief Commissioner depends upon only one presumption that Federal Revenue Alliance Union (Regd) by National Industrial Relation Commission has lost its legal position. Whereas there is no stay order have been granted by any of the Superior courts of Pakistan. However a petition by the Chairman FBR have been filed in the Islamabad High Court, which is  pending adjudication for arguments from the both sides for  validation and legal position and is fixed for  16-04-2015.
Unfortunately the President FRA Mian Qayum had already been dismissed from the services.
