LAHORE (PR) - AREVAs Transmission and Distribution (T&D) division has been awarded a 23 million Network Management Systems contract by the National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) in Pakistan for the modernization of its Load Despatch Network Facilities. The foreign exchange funding for the project is to come from JICA. AREVA T&D will upgrade the transmission networks automation system by installing its state-of-the-art SCADA/EMS e-terra solution, which will allow National Transmission and Despatch Company to securely manage its fast-growing and highly demanding network. AREVA T&D will also design, install and commission a new optical and telephone backbone to connect 60 transmission substations and major national power plants to the National Control Center in Islamabad.
