RAWALPINDI : A three-day “My Rawalpindi” Expo organised by RCCI has started here at RCCI building.
The RCCI always promotes local products and plays its role to enhance national exports, said its president Manzar Khurshid Sheikh while addressing the launching ceremony of 3-day “My Rawalpindi” Expo here at the chamber.
Commissioner Rawalpindi Khalid Masood Chaudhery inaugurated the expo.
The RCCI president said the basic purpose of organising the expo is to focus local industry and aware masses.
about the rich culture and history of Rawalpindi. In developed countries cottage industry contributes 50 per cent of the GDP but in Pakistan contribution of the said industry is almost zero. He said that if proper facilities are provided to the industry then desired results can be achieved.
In the expo over 100 historic pictures of the city were put on display to educate the visitors about the history of this rich land. Pictures, handicrafts and other stalls of local products will strengthen small industry, he said.
Envoys from various countries appreciated the Rawalpindi Chamber for organizing the expo and showed interest in local products. They also visited the stalls, picture gallery and also enjoyed the local music. The expo will remain continue till Sunday.
