'Apply for jobs in South Korea through OEC

ISLAMABAD (APP) - Managing Director of Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC) Saeed Ahmed Sheikh here Saturday said that people intending to get employment in Korea should apply through the designated office of OEC instead of taking help of agents. Talking to APP, the MD said that since the registration forms are available free of cast for applicants therefore people should not pay to agents who are fleecing the people. MD visited the OEC office and took action against the agents who were sitting outside the office of OEC. Saeed Shaikh said around 30,000 applications have been collected from across the country through the regional offices of the OEC including Lahore, Peshawar, Karachi, Queeta and Federal Capital Islamabad. The Human Resource Development department of Korea would final the name of candidates for the test on September 5, adding that the test of Korean language would be held in October, November and December and around 1,000 candidates would be selected in each month for jobs in Korea. He said in the three months 3,000 people would be selected for Korea and all candidates be despatches by the end of this year adding that after the three year Pakistan exporting the labour to Korea. The Korean government has introduced a latest labs for the selection of Labour at a time from the 15 countries of the World and he said Pakistani labour easy could earn US $ 12,00 to 1500 per month. Saeed Ahmed Sheikh appreciated the efforts and Cooperation of Korean government about the exporting labour and said medical, residence and other benefits would be provided by Korea to labour.
