LAHORE - The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry has urged the Punjab Food Authority to draw Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the food-related businesses which are in deep trouble due to raids being conducted by the Authority.
LCCI Senior Vice President Mian Nauman expressed these views while talking to the Director General Punjab Food Authority Sajid Chohan at his office. A large number of representatives of food-related businesses were also present on the occasion.
Mian Nauman Kabir said that situation would be good once Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are drawn by the Punjab Food Authority. He said that there could be shortcomings but could be corrected with joint efforts.
He said that the LCCI was totally against corrupt elements in society and would continue to support every government action that was for the betterment of society at large, but would not favor the disturbance of smooth businesses.
