OGRA recommends hike in petroleum products

The Oil and Gas regulatory Authority (OGRA) has advised the Ministry of petroleum and Natural Resources to increase the price of petroleum products by Rs 3.66 per liter.
Well informed sources told here on Friday that OGRA has recommended to increase the price of Petrol (MS) mostly used in transport by Rs 2.66 per liter, High Speed Diesel (HSD) used in agriculture and industrial sector Rs 3.66 per liter. Price of kerosene oil which is being used as alternate fuel in rural areas where LPG is not available has been recommended to increase by Rs 2.50 per liter.
OGRA has also recommended increasing the price of light diesel oil (LDO) by Rs 3.04 per liter and High Octane Blended Compotent (HOBC) by Rs 2.36 per liter.
The source told online that after the growing trend of petroleum prices in the global market the government has decided to increase the price of petroleum products. The new prices will be implemented from July 01.
