OPPO opens store in Gujrat
LAHORE (PR): OPPO Mobile Technologies Pakistan has inaugurated another state of the art experience store in Gulzar-e-Madina Mall in Gujrat, as a sign of its increased significance in the country’s smartphone market. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the top management of OPPO Pakistan as well as the renowned personalities from different walks of life of Gujrat.  
Officially becoming a mobile player in Pakistan market, earlier last year, OPPO is striving hard to bring one-of-a-kind smartphones with exceptional mobile cameras, innovative system tools, downloading stations, and top-notch customer service for a completely revamped customer experience.
Currently OPPO Experience Stores are operating in Lahore, Jhelum, Hyderabad, Sheikhupura and Sukkur. Now, the citizens of Gujrat can have a store which features a wide range of OPPO products starting from entry level to the high-end smartphones and accessories. Another highlight- OPPO has a leading charging technology, which is called VOOC Flash Charge Technology, is the fastest charging system in comparison to other smartphone brands.

Huawei, UET ink agreement
LAHORE (PR): The University of Engineering and Technology – Lahore and Huawei Technologies Pakistan have signed a historical agreement. This agreement gave UET Lahore the status of being a Huawei Authorized Network Academy.
Being a HANA, UET Lahore now has a facility to train engineering students for Huawei Certification programs and get them Certified on Huawei products and technologies. Huawei has also provided UET with some state-of-the-art network equipment which will be used to give students hands-on experience on the latest industry equipment during their training programs there.  
Dr Fazal Ahmad was quoted saying, “This ceremony will mark the further strengthening of a already strong relationship between industry and academia, and I would like to thank the guests from Huawei for considering UET as a partner in their Certification program in Pakistan.”
Tuwenjie went on to add, “Being a pioneer in the educational institutes of Pakistan, UET has played a great role in the country’s development and the status of becoming a Huawei Authorized Network Academy, will give most of you a chance to work closely with the industry leading vendor and I hope to see many Huawei Certified students graduating from UET in the coming years.”
The ceremony was attended by the director of Huawei Global Certification Program, Tuwenjie, the Vice Chancellor of UET Dr. Fazal Ahmad, the Consul General of Chinese Consulate in Lahore, the Deputy Consul General along with various Heads of Departments and a delegation from Huawei Enterprise Business Team.
The ceremony marked the further strengthening of ties between Huawei & the Higher Education institutes of Pakistan and further strengthened the resolve of Huawei to participate and play its role as a responsible technical multinational working in Pakistan.

‘IDEAS’ in Multan
LAHORE (PR): Gul Ahmed has opened a branch of its flagship line of stores “IDEAS” in Multan. The store is located in Pace and Pace Mall and is the second branch that has been opened in Multan after the success of the outlet in Abdali Tower on Main Abdali Road.

Philips appoints new distributor in Pakistan

Earth Hour at PC Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI (Staff Reporter): The Pearl Continental (PC) Hotel celebrated its commitment to living sustainability by once again taking part in Earth Hour. Public Relations Manager Asad ul Hussain on Saturday said, “We are turning off our lights for Earth Hour to save energy. Guests at the Pearl Continental, Rawalpindi can expect a fun and romantic evening as the lights go out to raise awareness of climate change and the need to reduce energy expenditure.”
He further said that we were excited to join millions of people around the world in turning off lights to help reduce our impact on the environment, and was a great initiative that demonstrates how small, simple steps like turning off lights can help make a difference in protecting our communities for a sustainable future.
