KARACHI - The NAVTTC has set up centres of excellence in priority areas like tourism and hospitality, construction, engineering, textiles and fashion, agriculture and mining. This was stated by the Executive Director of NAVTTC, Rashid Bashir Mazari.  He was speaking as chief guest at a certificate awarding ceremony here. Mazari pointed out that NAVTTC’s mission is to provide direction, and support to the public and private sectors to implement training for skills development in order to enhance social and economic profile.
He stated that in order to achieve its goals the NAVTTC is focusing on all aspects of policy formulation to pave a clear path for technical and vocational training which will eventually create a work force comparable to international requirements and standards. 
`We are formulating a regulatory framework on accreditation that establishes clarity in provincial and national roles and avoids overlapping’, Mazari remarked adding that accreditation of the institutes by an apex body will make them acceptable to the international market.
