ISLAMABAD : The Golen Gol hydropower project, being constructed by the Wapda in district Chitral, will complete in 2015 and produce 106 MW. Golen Project is a part of  cost-effective energy generation plan, being executed on priority basis to harness the indigenous hydropower resources to improve the ratio of hydel electricity, help reduce tariff and provide relief to the consumers. The project will contribute 106 MW to system and it would usher in green revolution by irrigating agriculture land in the area.
