KARACHI Japan and Pakistan have enjoyed extremely close ties for more than half a century and they continue to grow stronger. This was said by Japanese Consul General Masaharu Sato at a reception hosted by him at his residence to celebrate the 78th birthday of the Japanese emperor, says a press release. Mr Sato said the Japanese people appreciated the help and assistance rendered by the Pakistani people when Japan suffered an earthquake and tsunami in March this year.
