PPAF vows to continue relief operation

ISLAMABAD (PR) - In order to address the immediate needs of already marooned people, Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) has dispatched ration packs and set up medical camps in areas like Swat, Dir, Muzaffargarh, Dera Ismael Khan, Ghotki and Layyah soon after the flood information. Despite facing several challenges in reaching the inaccessible areas PPAF flood relief team reached and provided food and medical cure to impacted people in most of the affected areas as well as relief camps, says a press release issued here on Wednesday. It has also distributed 1,010,300 kilogram food items among flood stricken people. 204,000 kilogram ready to eat food and 89,600 kilogram wheat flour has distributed among the flood affectees in Swat, Dir, Dera Ismael Khan and Layyah. 80 per cent of total food distribution has been carried by PPAF partner organizations whose footprints are present in the flood affected union councils.
