LAHORE - The Businessman Panel, the largest alliance of traders, for 5th consecutive term, has swept all top slots of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FFCCI), an apex body of chambers in the country, in biennial election held Thursday for next term 2011-2012, says a Press release. Presidential candidate, Senator Haji Ghulam Ali from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa other candidates for the seats of Vice Presidents from Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Muhammad Usman from Sindh returned unopposed. Akbar Khan, another candidate of Businessman Panel for Vice Presidentship from Pakhtunkhwa province contesting against chamber class seat defeated his arch rival by 40 per cent votes polled while the election between Ghulam Farooq and Dr M Aslam from Balochistan for last seat of VP was upheld on the High Courts orders. Veteran trade leader, Co-chairman Businessman Panal, (the ruling group in FFCCI) and Vice President SAARC CCI Pakistan chapter Iftikhar Ali Malik told media person that once again entire business community across the country had reposed full confidence in the leadership of businessman panel (BP) led by Tariq Sayaed for pursuing better policies and properly safeguarding interest of traders at local, national and international levels. He said that by the grace of Allah, BP for the last one decade has been successfully advocating the just cause of business community and always upheld the traders in high esteem. He said that BP would continue to protect the interests of the business community across the country in a better way.
