Reserves stand at $18.53b

KARACHI (Staff Reporter): The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at $18,536.0 million on 24 July 2015. According to the break-up of the foreign reserves position released on Thursday, foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan stood at $13,385.8 million, net foreign reserves held by banks are $5,150.2 million, thus total liquid foreign reserves stood at $18,536.0 million. During the week ending 24 July 2015, SBP’s Liquid FX Reserves decreased by $157 million to $13,386 million, compared to $13,543 million in the previous week.
During the week, SBP made payments of $92 million on account of external debt servicing.
