Indias turn to act

The Foreign Office on Monday summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner for not so serious a dressing down over the confession of RSS chief Swami Assemanand for blowing up Samjhota Express in which a number of Pakistanis had died and court proceedings which are currently underway. Islamabad is usually docile vis--vis New Delhi, which is on the lookout to humiliate and badmouth us before the international community. But this time, Pakistan has tried to assert itself, though it still stopped short of calling for a strict action, not to mention the extradition of culprits, given the plain confession. India has refused to provide Pakistan any report on Samjhota Express, but still brazenly blames Islamabad for Mumbai attacks and tries to put it under pressure even though it has no credible proof against us. Now, we should not waste this opportunity of giving New Delhi a taste of its own medicine. It is only if Islamabad prepares itself to face up to Indian diplomatic warfare and launches a counter-offensive, could there emerge a possibility of the Indians realising that we would not suffer fools gladly and that it would have to get really serious about the peace process with Kashmir at the centre-stage. It has been proven beyond any doubt that India has its own brand of terrorism which is no less dangerous than the so-called Taliban or Al-Qaeda, and constitutes an existential threat to the lives of Muslims in South Asia. Thus, there is no justification left for it to create a false scare about Pakistan as a terrorist state. We are indeed victims of Hindutva terrorism that is condoned by Indian military as proven by the acts of Lt-Colonel Purohit, who was also involved in Samjhota Express attack. The Indian machinations have spread to Balochistan where India is fomenting violence via Afghanistan. It is a shame that we have yet to lodge a strong protest for Indias troubling role on our soil despite having all the evidence. The world must be made aware about the hidden face of the scourge of terrorism that is being carefully nurtured under cover of Indian democracy and secularism.
