RAWALPINDI - The district health department sealed two restaurants, one CNG filling station, a public park and a laundry after finding dengue larvae there during an anti-dengue campaign here on Tuesday.
Cases were also registered against the owners, reliable sources told The Nation. According to sources, teams of district health department under the supervision of Executive District Officer Dr Zafar Iqbal Gondal conducted raids at Commercial Market, Fawara Chowk, Raja Bazaar and Committee Chowk as part of anti-dengue campaign. Sources added that the teams checked the restaurants, tea stalls, CNG stations, laundries and a public park in various areas. The teams detected dengue larvae in kitchen of two restaurants located at Fawara Chowk and Committee Chowk, sources said, adding that dengue larvae was also found from a laundry, CNG station and Wonder Land Park. Sources said that the health teams sealed all the places and lodged cases against the owners of the restaurants, laundry, CNG station and administration of the park.
