Two killed in Balochistan; 3 Nato containers attacked

QUETTA - Two people were killed and three others received gunshot wounds in separate incidents of violence, while three NATO containers were attacked in Balochistan on Monday, officials said.
Unidentified gunmen killed a man namely Jamil Ahmed in a shooting in Aktharabad area in the outskirts of Quetta. The assailants had fled the crime site by the time a police party rushed. Police suspected the motive behind the murder was an old enmity. The body was shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities. Investigation is in an advanced stage.
A man was killed and three others sustained gunshot wounds in an armed clash between rival groups in Pishin district. Local administration rushed and shifted the dead and the injured to a hospital. The victim was identified as Nasrullah, and the wounded as Manan, Habibullah and Naqeeb. The reason behind the skirmish could not be ascertained till the filing of this report.
Meanwhile, three NATO containers were set afire in Quetta by unidentified armed men, riding two motorbikes. Officials said the containers came under attack near Western bypass, adding that one of the containers caught fire and was completely burnt, and the two others were partially damaged. The attackers managed to flee the crime scene, however. Firefighters were called in who put out the fire after hectic efforts. Luckily, no loss of life was reported in the attack. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
Similarly, a private container was attacked in Dasht area of Mastung district. Sources said unidentified armed men, riding a motorbike, opened fire at the container, wounding the driver and smashing the windscreen. The attackers managed to escape after staging the attack.
