Thai national moves IHC against NAB bosses

ISLAMABAD  - Nisar Khan, a Thai national who was allegedly involved in the Modarba scam, has filed a petition against Qamar Zaman Chaudhary, NAB Chairman and Director General NAB Rawalpindi Col (R) Subah Sadiq Malik, sources told The Nation on Sunday.
According to details, the petition has been filed with the Islamabad High Court seeking justice while alleging that the NAB Rawalpindi DG wis dragging him in the Modarba scam despite the fact that he has not been involved in any scam like Modarba and never been involved in any kind of parallel banking, the sources added. When contacted, the petitioner confirmed and said that he has never been in any corrupt practice as NAB has not received any complaint or claim against him.
He said that he completely refused his partnership with the main accused of Modarba Mufti Ehasn Ul Haq who remained 87 days under the custody of NAB and the bureau has received more than eight thousand claims involving Rs 8 billion.
He further said if any adverse happens with his family the NAB highups would be responsible for that as they are involving him in this case while advertising his name as the main culprit of the Modarba scam.
When contacted DG NAB Rawalpindi he said yet he is not informed about the petition and notices and said it is a routine matter that the people involved in corruption and corrupt practices always seek protection in litigation.
