Islamabad - A local court Thursday summoned an assistant registrar of Supreme Court of Pakistan to appear before it on April 28 in an alleged black-mailing case worth of Rs40 million.
Civil Judge Naseer Ahmad Kakar issued these summon orders to Assistant Registrar Ghulam Ghous while hearing a recovery case moved by Israr Ahmad Afzal investor developers of Supreme Court Employees Cooperative Housing Society.
In his application, Israr Afzal adopted that Ghulam Ghous forced him to purchase laptop, mobile phones, air conditioners and refrigerator etc for his personal use. He further stated before the court that the assistant registrar also compelled him to pay bills of his personal phones and monthly expenditures of his house located in posh area of Islamabad.
Besides, the plaintiff also alleged that Ghulam Ghous also compelled him to pay his hotel dues in Islamabad as well as in other cities. During the hearing, Israr Afzal submitted monthly bills, cheques and other documents before the court. Later, the court summoned the assistant registrar to appear before it on April 28 and directed him to submit his reply in this regard.
