Rulers’ corruption forcing the poor to die: Imran

ISLAMABAD - Imran Khan, Chairman Pakistan Tahrik-e-Insaf (PTI), has said that the federal government has completely failed to devise an effective policy for the betterment of people as the economically shattered poor masses are being forced to die of hunger.
“Due to the massive corruption of successive governments, more and more people are going down the poverty line while the whole country has become a battlefield due to the volatile law and order situation,” said Imran while addressing a reception held in his honour in Jhungi Syedan here on Friday.
On the occasion, Imran Khan formally launched the election campaign of his party’s candidate for NA-48 Islamabad bye-elections.
He said that the Pakistan Tahrik-e-Insaf will turn the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a model government for other provinces to follow and we will implement a pure merit policy in the province with a proper accountability system.
At the reception, various party leaders including Asad Umer, Azam Swati, Sarwer Khan, Dr. Shehzad Waseem, Siddique Khan, Amer Zaman, and local leaders like Amer Mughal, Sardar Zahid Ali, Ali Awan and Sajid Malik were present.
Imran Khan further said that his party believes in merit and through this policy they will make the life of masses better.
While talking about the NA-48 bye-elections, he also said their candidate Asad Umer is the best economist and deserves to be in the National Assembly to have an effective monitoring on the incumbent government’s particularly economic policies.
After getting elected, Imran said, Asad Umer would not represent the people of NA-48 in the parliament but would also raise concern about the problems of the 118 million Pakistanis at all forums in an effective way.
The honest and hard working Asad would play a positive role in the making positive policies for the betterment of people, the PTI Chairman claimed.
Addressing on the occasion, Asad Umer said that Imran Khan is the hero and the leader of the nation and Pakistan Tahrik-e-Insaf would achieve its destination and goals in the able leadership of Imran Khan.
“We will not hesitate to sacrifice for the development and the betterment of the country and fight for the rights of the people of Pakistan,” said Asad.
On the occasion many distinguished leaders and guests were present who assured his unconditional support to the PTI candidate.
