ISLAMABAD - In a major reshuffle in the federal bureaucracy, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif yesterday approved appointment of several federal secretaries.
He also appointed Ameer Khan Marwat, serving as Secretary Textiles and Industries, as Chairman of the Prime Minister Inspection Commission.
The Establishment Division later notified his appointment.
The federal government had terminated the services of outgoing Chairman PMIC Lt. Col (Retd) Saif-Ud-Din Qureshi on 7th September, 2016.
The federal government has also appointed Hassan Iqbal Khan, a Grade 22 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service, as Secretary Textiles and Industries. Earlier he was performing as Secretary Capital Administration and Development Division (CAAD).
Naris Gheloon, a grade 22 officer of Secretariat group, replaced outgoing Hassan Iqbal Khan and was appointed as Secretary CADD. She was previously looking after the matters of Pakistan State Life Insurance Corporation as a chairperson.
Shoib Mir Memon (grade 21), Additional Secretary Establishment Division, has been posted as Chairman Pakistan State Life Insurance Corporation. Muhammad Hamyun Khan, a grade 22 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service, has been appointed as Secretary Parliamentary Affairs.
The federal government transferred Haseeb Athar (grade 22), Secretary Federal Public Service Commission and posted him as Secretary Federal Education and Professional Training. Ameer Tariq Zaman Khan (grade 21), Additional Secretary Cabinet Division, has been posted as Secretary FPSC.
The Establishment Division issued notifications of all these transfers and postings yesterday.
