ISLAMABAD - Immigration Wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has busted a gang of human traffickers who were using the route of Pakistan to France, The Nation has learnt.
The Immigration Wing here on Friday offloaded fiver persons including a young girl and one year old female baby girl from a Paris-bound flight of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) at Benazir International Airport, Islamabad.
A senior official of FIA said that Inspector Afzal Khan Niazi had busted the gang and a carry agent had also been arrested who was going to travel through PIA flight number PK 749. The plane was to take off from Islamabad to Paris.
A passenger namely Muhammad Hussain was arrested having fake Italian nationality card, while a 20-year old girl Razia along with one year old baby Alyia Sher were taken into custody while travelling on fake documents. Similarly another passenger Manzoor Elahi was also arrested while travelling on fake documents.
Inspector Afzal Niazi also arrested the carry agent namely Ahmed Sher who accompanied all these passengers.
The FIA official said that all the accused had been sent to Anti-Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) of FIA for further necessary legal action.
