Imran sabotaging APC consensus, says Fazl

KARAK - Chief of Jamait Ulema-e-Islam (F), Maulana Fazlur Rehman, has termed the sit-in of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf a drama and alleged that Imran Khan was sabotaging the consensus of All Parties Conference (APC) for negotiations with the Taliban.
He was addressing a public gathering here at Sabirabad area on Sunday. He claimed that negotiations have been suspended but their resolution is still high to resume it. He added that peace tribal Jirga formed by his party is acceptable to all schools of thought and all in APC posed trust in the jirga but one drone attack changed the scenario. He claimed that they also came to known the federal government has no alternative to the peace tribel Jirga and added that they have invited the tribal peace Jirga on November 28, upon which all political leadership of the country is agreed upon.
The JUI-F chief claimed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was a sensitive province and their endeavours to form government in this province was misperceived and it was considered that JUI-F was power hungry but his efforts were to bring the federal and provincial government on the same page to establish peace in the volatile region.
He claimed that now the federal government was realising its mistake. He added that JUI-F wants to establish Islamic rule in the country through democratic struggle and added that his party does not agree to the implementation of Sharia through gun. Rehman alleged that bureaucracy, establishment and state institutions have detracted the country from its real path and termed them national criminals for detracting the country from its path. He added that with due respect he wanted to ask the chief justice of Pakistan if he was insisting on holding the local bodies elections as it was a constitutional obligation but why the recommendations of the Islamic Ideology Council have been unimplemented for the last 40 year.
He regretted that the Supreme Court rejected the Hasba bill passed by his provincial government twice and claimed that they knew about change but the state institutions and court stopped their ways.
Rejecting the general election results he claimed that results were prepared somewhere else and added these forces make the majority and minority in the assemblies on their own choices. He said that his party could stop the NATO supplies but it would sabotage the national consensus over the negotiations and alleged that on one side PTI has taken $ 500 million from the USA and the other side stopping its supplies to Afghanistan, which is double standard.
The JUI-F chief claimed that PTI was propagating Western culture in the province and has given the education, health and developmental projects in the hands of NGOs. He added when Imran was spreading the Western civilisation in the country then he must say him the Western agent.
On the occasion former Chief Minister Akram Khan Durani also addressed the gathering and strongly criticised the PTI and Jamaat-e-Islami.
Former provincial minister Mian Nisar Gul on the occasion formally announced to join JUI-F.
