PML-N extends support to PPP

KARACHI - A delegation of the ruling PML-N led by Federal Religious Affairs Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousaf met with Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah at the CM Secretariat here on Friday.
The delegation offered all out political support of the party and technical support of federal government to maintain peace in Karachi.
PML-N Sindh leader Saleem Zia, PML-N’s Punjab Assembly MPA Mian Ziaur Rehman, Ali Akbar Gujjar, Munsaf Jan and others were part of the 14 members’ delegation.
According to a statement issued from the CM House, Sardar Yousaf said the federal government would provide all out technical and political support to the Sindh government to maintain law and order in the Karachi.
Qaim while talking to the delegation said the law and order situation was improving speedily in the city as police and rangers were taking action against the anti-social elements in the city.
The CM further said that law enforcement agencies were striving to eliminate crime from the City as criminals had been arrested in big numbers from various areas of Karachi.
He said the police and rangers were given instructions and free hand to take action against the criminals without any discrimination. He claimed that positive outcome of the arrests are visible with normalising the law and order situation in the city.
Qaim further said all the political and religious parties were cooperating with the government and striving with sincere and serious efforts to ensure peace in the City. “Majority of the citizens are peaceful, however, some elements do not want to see peace in the city.”
CM Sindh also told the PML-N delegation to convey the party leaders and federal government to invest and provide assistance for Thar Coal project which is the only solution to energy crisis of Pakistan.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Sunni Tehreek led by Shahid Gauri met with Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah at the CM Secretariat on late Thursday night.
Senior Minister and PPP leader Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Sharjeel Inam Memon, Rashid Rabbani and others were present on the occasion.
The Sunni Tehreek leaders briefed the CM Sindh about the killing of their workers and demanded the government to arrest the culprits nominated in the FIRs. The ST leaders further demanded the government to ensure security of their leaders and workers.
Qaim assured the delegation to provide security to the leaders of the Sunni Tehreek, saying the LEAs were given free hand to take action against the criminals.
