Raiwind budget bigger than that of Potohar: Bilawal

Rawalpindi - The people of Rawalpindi are facing numerous problems, including unemployment, while the ruling party has failed to mitigate their maladies.

“PML-N leaders with their erroneous policies have destroyed the country,” said Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while addressing a mammoth public gathering during his short stopover at Rawat on his way to Mirpur yesterday.

Interestingly, Bilawal delivered the short speech while sitting in a bulletproof vehicle.

However, later he appeared from sunroof of the vehicle for a few minutes and waved to cheering PPP activists.

Bilawal said that people of Rawalpindi are seeking jobs but the PML-N is doing nothing to solve their problem.

He said that he would address the genuine issues of the people of Rawalpindi. “I have special sympathies with Rawalpindi as the blood of my mother Benazir Bhutto was shed in the soil of this city,” he said.

Coming down hard on the PML-N, he said that rulers have been spending billions of rupees on renovation of Raiwind. “The budget of Raiwind is much higher than the budget of Potohar,” the PPP chairman added. He said that PPP would win Kashmir election with thumping majority and would also free Kashmir from clutches of India.

He said that his grandfather and mother sacrificed their lives for bringing uplift in the lives of destitute segments of the society. “I request you all to come forward and help Pakistan Peoples Party bring Pakistan out of crises,” he said.

Earlier, Bilawal was accorded a warm welcome by the PPP activists numbering in hundreds upon his arrival on GT Road. The Pakistan Peoples Party workers were holding party flags and portraits of BB and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

They showered rose petals on Bilawal and danced on the tunes of drums to show their love for their beloved leader.

Interestingly, no big name from PPP Rawalpindi chapter, including Zumard Khan, Malik Amir Fida Paracha, Ammar Mehdi and Malik Shaukat Hayyat, was present at Rawat.

A large number of workers also welcomed Bilawal at Gujar Khan and Former Premier Raja Pervaiz Ashraf joined the rally of Bilawal.

Police and other law enforcement agencies made tight security arrangements for guarding the Pakistan Peoples Party rally.
