quetta - Bomb blasts and rocket attacks rocked parts of Balochistan on Thursday.
Sources said unidentified attackers carried out a blast in Sariab locality of Quetta, throwing the entire area in panic. However, no loss of life or damage to property was reported in the explosion.
In Khuzdar district, some 360 kilometers away from Quetta, residence of Balochistan National Party-Mengal election candidate for NA-269 came under an attack. Unidentified men had planted explosives near house of Abdul Rauf Mengal. Luckily, nobody was hurt.
Another blast took place in Khuzdar district’s Nhal area near a police station. However, no loss of life was reported.
Meanwhile, unidentified militants fired rockets into Kohlu and Panjgour districts in a bid to target a security checkpoint. Sources said no loss of life was reported in the rocket attacks.
