MQM rigged polls: PTI

The Sindh caretaker government and Provincial Election Commission of Pakistan have failed to hold free and fair elections inKarachidespite tall claims.

MQM workers snatched the ballot papers at various polling stations of NA-250 Defence andCliftonareas.

PTI candidate for NA-250 Arif Alvi, Firdous Shamim Naqvi, NA-253 candidate Ashraf Qureshi, Zubair Khan NA-256 and Faisal Vohra and others while addressing the press conference at Karachi Press Club on Saturday said long queues of youngsters were seen outside the polling station early this morning who wanted to cast vote to Imran Khan for new Pakistan but mismanagement of administration has ruined all their hopes.

He said unavailability of polling material and absence of staff has shown the ineligibility of ECP and government. He said situation could be different if election commission provides proper facility to voters and army deployed inside polling station.

Zubair Khan said polling agents of PTI were harassed by the terrorists and law-enforcement agencies remained silence in this situation. He informed that PTI candidate Arsalan Ghuman and polling agents were brutally tortured by the miscreants.

Dr Arif Alvi said that despite repeated demands of army deployment inside the polling stations inKarachito caretaker government, unfortunately the administration did not pay any heed to our demands. He said bogus voting in different constituencies ofKarachiin presence of law-enforcement agencies raised many questions over their performance.
