Actress Lyudmila dies

MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian actress Lyudmila Gurchenko, a beloved star of the Soviet silver screen, died on Wednesday in Moscow from heart failure. She was 75. She was a real artist of the people, loved by an audience of millions, President Dmitry Medvedev said in a statement. The Kremlin said Gurchenko, who debuted in the 1956 comedy Carnival Night, had suffered from serious illness.
