Russell Watson ties the knot to Louise Harris

Madrid (MO): English tenor Russell Watson has married partner Louise Harris in a fairytale ceremony in Spain.
The operatic-style singer and his new wife said ‘I do’ during intimate nuptials held at mountain village Benahavis in southern Spain.
Gushing about his beautiful spouse to Hello! Magazine, the 48-year-old said: ‘Louise has taught me many things but most of all how to love. I have never been more content. It really is a fairytale ending. Watson, often referred to as The People’s Tenor, has battled two brain tumours, the first of which was initially diagnosed in 2006.
The benign but aggressive brain tumour was removed on the eve of his 40th birthday, though a year later it returned and this time had haemorrhaged in four places.
Semi-conscious, he was rushed to hospital where he was told that if it hadn’t been for a seven-hour operation he would have died. But the long-time crooner credits Louise with changing his life after they met in a restaurant in Alderley Edge, Chesire. Watson soon popped the question in December 2013.
The wedding was a no-expenses-spared affair, with the bride walking down the aisle in a gown designed by Ronald Joyce and shoes from Jimmy Choo.
‘They make my heart skip a beat every time I look at them,’ the 27-year-old said of her fancy footwear, which are a one-of-a-kind made especially for her by the iconic shoe designer.
‘Jimmy Choo said to me, “Louise, I want to design you a shoe that no one else in the world has.” I could never have imagined something so special. I’ve called it the Mrs Watson,’ she dished.
Recalling the moment he first saw his bride, Russell described the instant as ‘a combination of love, happiness and pride.’
