The world and his wife are well aware that David Beckham is celebrating his 40th birthday in Marrakech, Morocco with his partner Victoria, their family and a whole collection of A-list pals.
But the retired footballer seemed to have eyes for just his lovely lady on Saturday evening, as he posted an adorable selfie of the two of them together at the end of one very special day. The star - who has just turned the big 4-0 - took the picture of himself with his wife cuddling up to his chest as he told her how grateful he was for his special day.
‘Thanks to my beautiful wife for such an amazing day x,’ he wrote to his nearly 3million Instagram followers - earned in less than one day as he only joined the social networking site on the day before his birthday.
Victoria, 41, meanwhile also posted a picture of herself and her man in the stunning location for his birthday party, the Amanjena resort on the outskirts of the the Moroccan city. The husband and wife posed in front of a gorgeous backdrop from within the resort, in front of a serene pool lined with lamps in the dusky light, as they cosied up together once again. ‘Special evening with family and friends x #DB40 x @davidbeckham,’ the fashion designer wrote.
She looked to be keeping it very simple for her man’s big night, wearing a floor-length black dress. And David himself looked utterly relaxed in a white collarless shirt, black trousers and man-sandals. Also clearly enjoying the day-long birthday celebrations were David and Victoria’s eldest son Brooklyn, and their close friend Eva Longoria, who had landed in the African country earlier in the day. The 16-year-old shared a picture of himself on his own Instagram in the midst of the revelries alongside his long-term family friend Eva, 40, who looked stunning in a lemon yellow frock.
