Polish fireman returns diamond ring to Paris Hilton

New York  - Paris Hilton is set to be reunited with a $100,000 (£62,500) diamond ring she lost at an airport in Poland last week after it was found by a firefighter. The socialite misplaced the expensive piece of jewellery at Lodz Airport on Friday as she was leaving the country after attending a fashion event.
The 34-year-old socialite lost an enormous diamond-studded ring on an airport shuttle bus in the Polish city of Lodz last week. But she won’t be parted from the jewel for long: an honest fireman who found it is returning it to her.
Ewa Bienkowska, the airport spokeswoman, said Hilton lost the ring on Friday as she was leaving the city after taking part in a fashion event. Two days later a fireman who works at the airport found it on the floor of the bus. At first he assumed it belonged to a flight attendant, though none reported missing a ring. Soon after he noticed Hilton on TV wearing the ring and contacted the organizers of the fashion event. However, a firefighter who is based at the airport later found the ring on a shuttle bus and handed it in to officials. Airport spokeswoman Ewa Bienkowska says, “This is another situation that confirms that workers at ?odz Airport are honest and professional.” The ring is being held by a security company until a member of Hilton’s management team can pick it up.
