Jane Fonda gets Life Achievement Award

DM Hollywood - She may be a Hollywood veteran at 76, but Jane Fonda still has what it takes to outshine on the red carpet.
The Klute star looked radiant in a white gown on Thursday, to accept the American Film Institute’s Life Achievement Award, at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre. However, if that wasn’t enough, Jane had earlier in the week showed off her skills as a seductress as she dished out romance tips whilst talking to Conan O’Brien.
Jane appeared on the Conan chat show on Tuesday night to talk about her achievement but got off-topic and started giving advice. The Barbarella star quizzed host Conan O’Brien about his age and marital status and after learning he was 51 and married started slinging tips.
She advised against just ‘popping’ a male-enhancement pill on the way home and thinking everything will be fine. ‘A lot of men think that as long as they can perform, it’s all [good],’ Jane said but urged Conan not to forget about foreplay. ‘One thing about aging is that spontaneity kind of goes out the window and you have to plan, Which can be exciting,’ she said.
The actress and author caught herself talking about romance deep into their conversation. ‘How did we get on this?’ she asked. Jane was honored with the AFI Life Achievement Awards 36 years after her father Henry Fonda became the sixth recipient of the award.
The actress told The Hollywood Reporter that when she found out about the award, ‘I burst into tears. It’s the biggest honor.’ Jane presented the award to Bette Davis in the 1970s and also to Barbara Stanwyck. ‘I never thought it would happen to me. You know, I left the business for 15 years and crawled my way back in, starting at age 65. ‘So I just feel very blessed this is happening,’ she said of being the 42nd recipient of the award.
