Snapchat’s feature that allows users to follow stories from different cities and events has managed to get a lot of popularity. However, it was the app’s latest decision to cover a particular city that has got the entire social media flooded with discussions about the app. Recently, Snapchat covered Mecca in order to capture the activities that go on in the Islamic world on ‘Laila tul Qadr’ or The Night of Power.
Multiple videos and pictures were posted by people in Mecca, while performing ‘Umrah’, in the streets of Mecca, before sunset, before sunrise and so on. This managed to generate a huge response on the social media with Tweets pouring in about the coverage
