KATIE HOLMES has been approached about the possibility of returning to Broadway, reports The New York Times. A representative for the actress has confirmed to the newspaper that she has been offered a part in the drama production Extremities but declined to reveal any further details. The William Mastrosimone play revolves around a woman who manages to fight back against a would-be rapist in her home and ties him up before her roommates return and they discuss what will happen next. Holmes, who recently announced the Golden Globe Award nominees in Los Angeles, made her Broadway debut in a critically-acclaimed revival of Arthur Millers 'All My Sons in 2008. In an interview with Cinema Source earlier this year, she revealed that she would love to return to the stage in the future. Its so much fun and I loved the cast and the community was so welcoming and wonderful, she said. I really appreciated that and I enjoyed every single night so I cant wait to go back to theatre... Im very excited to go back. DS
