And now Jaime Pressly has found herself involved in a legal quandary, as she’s suing her former accountant for messing up her finances.
According to TMZ, the 37-year-old has filed a lawsuit against Daniel Rivero and is asking for $900,000 plus punitive damages after owing hundreds of thousands in taxes and suffering further loses in bad investments.
The My Name Is Earl star says she now owes over $850,000 in back income taxes and lost $170,000 in faulty investments at the hands of the businessman.
In addition, Jaime is furious Rivero paid a landscaper an exorbitant $220,000 for gardening services on what she says is her modest suburban Los Angeles home over the course of five years, reported the website.
The blonde beauty’s money meltdown comes on the heels of the cancellation of her latest sitcom.
In October, TV Land terminated the freshmen series Jennifer Falls, which featured Jaime as a career woman and mother who is forced to move back in with her own mom after losing a high-paying job.
Co-starring Jessica Walker and Ethan Suplee, the show’s ten-episode run underperformed in the ratings prior to its finale in August. But on a bright spot, the Emmy winner did recently finish a multiple episode story arc on the popular CBS sitcom Mom.
