Drew Barrymore joins Twitter

Drew Barrymore created a Twitter account but is concerned about being too chatty.
The actress finally joined micro-blogging website Twitter on Tuesday. She hopes the character limit per message will prevent her from blabbering on like she can sometimes do when talking face-to-face. “Late to the party, but happy to be here!” she posted. “140 characters should keep me from rambling...someone told me it doesn’t all have to fit in 1 tweet.”
Since creating the social networking page, Drew has announced she will be taking part in a Twitterchat with InStyle magazine. The fashion publication shared the message via their account and the thespian retweeted it.
The 38-year-old’s opportunity to sign up to Twitter may have been delayed by her recently becoming a mother.
She and husband Will Kopelman welcomed daughter Olive into the world last September.  Drew thinks she bounces off Will perfectly when it comes to raising their child. “Will and I are a nice balance of opposition and similarities. He always says, ‘Being calm is so important.’ Because I tend to be not calm. I probably act more like a chicken with its head cut off!” she laughed. “But I can also be very strong. I’m entering my 40s, and now I get to step back and take these incredible, extraordinary life experiences and life lesson and apply them to being a parent.”
Drew admits she gets anxious about looking after her little one at times, as she worries about providing her tyke with strong guidance.
“I have anxieties about how much I’d like to get it right, making sure I provide her with an environment that’s safe, nurturing, and loving. And silly and free, also consistent and grounding,” she explained in the new edition of US InStyle magazine.
