Shiv Sena makes it tough for Atif Aslam

MUMBAI- Pakistani singer Atif Aslam canceled his show in Pune on April 25 after threats from an Indian political party, Shiv Sena. Shiv Sena has often resisted cultural events featuring artists from India's neighboring country.

Aslam has a sizeable audience in India. Over 1000 tickets for the event had already been sold. However, the political party has yet to protest against Atif’s next performance scheduled in Ahmedabad on May 10.

Atif has recently performed in various Indian cities including Delhi and Hyderabad. According to sources, Shiv Sena also blamed Pakistan for sending terrorists to India.
