Sarah Hyland’s ex-boyfriend threatened and ‘choked’ her, it is claimed.
The 23-year-old Modern Family actress has apparently filed a temporary restraining order against former beau Matthew Prokop, 24, who threatened to ‘set one of her homes on fire’ as well as her life, according to documents obtained by TMZ. Apparently, Sarah claims the actor pinned her against a vehicle and ‘choked’ her during an argument about her outfit, TMZ reports.
‘His grip was so tight that I could not breathe or speak. I was scared and in fear for my life,’ Sarah said in the documents obtained by TMZ. Sarah and Matthew met while auditioning for 2008 movie.


 High School Musical 3: Senior Year and started dating in 2009. They appeared in 2011 movie Geek Charming together. They were living together and looked after their joint pet dog Barkley Bixby. The pair was 19 when they moved in together. News of the former couple’s split spread in August of this year.
Matthew has been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from the actress and her dog, who he apparently also threatened. Matthew is said to have entered rehab in August though he apparently got out earlier this week, Sarah said in the documents via TMZ. Evidently, the Another World actress was contacted by the facility where Matthew was treated and advised to get the restraining order.
