Obama sends condolences to Jackson family

WEVE all been affected in some way or another by the death of Michael Jackson-including Barack Obama. Hes sent his condolences to the Jackson family since hearing of Michaels death. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs conveyed Obamas sentiment towards the family via a press conference today. When asked what the Presidents reaction was, Gibbs replied: He said to me that obviously Michael Jackson was a spectacular performer and a music icon and I think everybody remembers hearing his songs and watching him moonwalk on television during Motowns 25th anniversary. Gibbs continued by saying, But the president also said, look, he had aspects of his life that were sad and tragic. Gibbs said the presidents condolences went out to the Jackson family and to fans that mourn his loss. That was such a nice gesture for Barack Obama to do.
