X Factor accused of rigging results

London (MOL): The X Factor has once again found itself at the centre of a fixing scandal after Louis Walsh seemingly couldn’t make his mind up about who to ditch and who to save on Sunday night.  Producers have been accused of ordering the music manager to pick who they wanted to see go through to the Judges’ House stage, forcing him to change his mind numerous times throughout the episode. The 62-year-old’s chopping and changing caused so much fury amongst the audience, that many stormed out of the Six Chair Challenge at Wembley Arena.
Meanwhile, unsure of their future, the acts themselves were in floods of tears both on and off stage.
The drama unfolded when Louis labelled excitable girl group Electric Blonde ‘annoying,’ dropping them in favour of boyband Concept.
But The Sun reports that, while it wasn’t shown on screen, producers then marched into the arena and demanded that Louis changed his mind.
A source said: ‘Louis made his decisions but was told to change them by producers. It was like he knew what the script was supposed to be but was defying them. In the end the producers won.’
The Irish star did indeed relent, explaining ‘I think I have made a mistake,’ and reinstating Blonde Electric.
But rather than ditch Concept, he dragged New Girl Band into the melee, taking away their seat.
The already riled crowd only grew even more hostile when Louis then took a seat off Overlord, giving it instead to Only The Young.
Louis then stunned everyone by breaking the rules ordering a sing-off for the final seat between Overload and The Pow Pow Girls - who he’d already tried to drop but was convinced to put through by show boss Simon Cowell.
Looking out for New Girl Band, Cheryl chipped in saying that in the interest of fairness, they should be allowed to sing too.
And when they won, masses of audience members stormed out while warm-up man Ian Royce reportedly begged them to stay.
The newspaper also reports that Cheryl was given a nudge to save Chloe-Jasmine Whichello over Orla Keogh on Saturday night’s show.
A spokesman for the X Factor told MailOnline: ‘Until all acts have sung and the judge has declared that they have chosen their final six, they are able to change their minds and bring back anyone they have removed from a seat at any stage.’
