Lahore: The three-day lifestyle and fashion event Shaan-e-Pakistan showcasing the talent from India and Pakistan concluded here the other night at Royal Palm Golf and Country Club.
The event aims at building up cultural bonds between the two neighboring countries. The third and last day of the event kicked-off with celebratory fashion showcase of 16 designers from Pakistan, India and Bangladesh including Ahmed Bilal, Aisha Imran, Bara-e-Khanom, Bibi Russell, Braahtii by Huma Nassr, Zainab Chottani, Amir Adnan, Cara Collection, Joy Mitra, Jyoti Sachdev Iyer, Mehdi Designs, Republic Women's Wear, Samanth Chauhan, Studio by AV, Style D' Elegance and Zubia Motiwalla amongst others. The high-end event was attended by who’s who of the fashion industry, socialites, models, bloggers and media.
The fashion show included ramp shows by leading retail labels, high street fashion brands as well as showcase of collections by Indian designers. Many up and coming designers from India established the fact that Pakistani and India fashion is becoming more innovative in both men’s wear and women’s wear. At the event Pakistani and Indian fashion was at its best and all because of the great fashion designers, professional models and the fashion enthusiasts who proved to be a wonderful audience. The lighting especially was remarkable as it had various along the ramp that showed all the creations in different tones from light to bright blare.
The music selection to go with the catwalk was like always something for everyone to enjoy. In the start of the Fashion show Kathak dance performance was performed by the well renowned dancer Amna Ali. One of the Bollywoods icons Zeenat Aman graced the ramp as a showstopper for Braahtii by HumaNassr, Pakistani film actress Resham walked the ramp for Ahmed Bilal and TV actress Fiza Ali opened the show for Waseem Noor with her debut song at the fashion showcase. Shaan-e-Pakistan brought together Pakistani and Indian fashion designers, retail brands, models, culinary forces, handicraft industries, music, entertainment & lifestyle personalities on one platform in Lahore, with the aim at large to develop trust, growth and business among Pakistan’s and India’s fashion, culinary and handicraft industries.
