In the backdrop of the audacious attack on the Indian embassy in Kabul, the issue of security for Indian nationals and assets in Afghanistan is expected to figure prominently when Afghan President Hamid Karzai undertakes a two-day visit to India from August 3. Karzai, arriving here from Colombo after attending the two-day SAARC Summit from August 2, will hold talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on a wide range of issues, particularly focusing on India's reconstruction and developmental efforts in Afghanistan.
