KABUL- Afghan President Hamid Karzai met with the newly-appointed US Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, Daniel Feldman.

Feldman briefed Karzai on the presidential vote audit as well as recount and developments on the matter.

According to our sources, the President said the people of Afghanistan are keen for the election process to be concluded as soon as possible. James F. Dobbins, the veteran diplomat who served as the United States special envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan, stepped down last month.
