ISLAMABAD - Top seeded Sara Mehboob outclassed Mehreen Izhar without conceding a single game to get berth in the semi-finals of the PTCL-Subh-e-Nau Ladies National Tennis Championship here at the Islamabad Club clay courts on Friday. Mehreen proved a piece of cake for the top tennis lady of Pakistan Sara Mehboob, who played excellent game and defeated her opponent at 6-0, 6-0. Sara has been consistently winning national ladies titles for the last three years despite the fact that she has still been awaiting a regular sponsorship deal with a commercial house, so that she could play 20-25 international ranking tournaments of International Tennis Federation to improve her international ranking. In other matches of Subh-e-Nau Ladies National Tennis Championship, Natasha Afridi knocked out seeded no.2 Sara Mansoor in straight sets. Also moving into the singles semi-finals were Saba Aziz and Ushna Sohail. In first semi-final of the ladies doubles event, Sara Mehboob and Natasha Afridi easily beat Mehreen Izhar and Fatima Mehboob. In Saturday's fixtures, first ladies singles semi-final would be played at 3 PM while senior's doubles final would be played at 4.00 p.m. Finals of the ladies singles and doubles are scheduled to be played on Sunday before the prize distribution ceremony to be held in the evening.
